Beautiful half-day downtown highlights tour with focus on Jewish history!
Is there Jewish life in Munich after all of what happened during the Nazi regime time? There is! Just recently Munich's Jewish community inaugurated their new synagogue, which will be one of the highlights to see on this walking tour.
Would you like to see the beautiful sights of Munich's inner city and also learn about the past and present of Munich with a focus on the Jewish history? Let me take you on a journey through time then, telling you about the first Jewish community in the Middle Ages, difficult times in the following centuries, 19th century Munich with the biggest Jewish community of Bavaria, Hitler's crimes in Munich, Jewish life after World War II and the community today.
My itinerary and the usage of public transportation allow us to explore downtown Munich with its beautiful sights and also see places that are relevant to the city's Jewish history. You'll be surprised how the history of many important buildings is connected to Jews who have lived here throughout the ages…
