All the best antique places in 7 hours.
Are you into antiques? REALLY INTO ANTIQUES? Then you are on the right tour.
I have scoped the best places for antiques in Mumbai. Whatever you fancy, wrist watches, fine porcelain, figurines, lamps, objects, you will find it on this tour.
There is a lot to see and it will take us all day including lunch at Britannia, a restaurant with the best Persian influenced food in the world. We will:
Go to Mutton Street in Chor (Thieves) Bazaar - several dozen stores of all kinds of antiques where the locals shop for their treasures.
Visit Moorthy's - the largest collections of colonial furniture and ethnic artifacts, mainly British, Indo-Portuguese, French and Dutch.
Phillips Antiques - founded in 1860, Phillips is still going strong. Films like A Passage to India, Gladiator and The Jungle Book used their antiques as props.
The Raj Company - three floors of artifacts and furniture of Indian and British colonial time.
If you love antiques, you will love this tour, customized for the antique lover in you.
We will be together for 7 hours including lunch. If we start at 11, we will finish by 6. It starts to get dark at 6. We can start earlier if you like and finish earlier. Lunch will be at noon or 1pm. Tea coffee at about 4pm. We can customize all of this per your desires.
