Past and Present

Being founded more than 3000 years ago, the old capital of Georgia, Mtskheta is surprisingly beautiful and elegant. It is the spiritual center of Georgia. Here we will see the cathedral of Svetitskhoveli and the Jvari monastery on the top of mountain near the city , with its excellent views ( both cathedral and monastery the UNESCO World Heritage Sites in Mtslheta).
Next, we drive by famous Georgian Military Road to the north, in the direction of the Georgian-Russian border. We will see the lake of Zhinvali and famous Ananuri fortress.
Then we continue our way towards the town of Gori, birthplace of Stalin. Visit the Museum of the dictator(GEL 15 per ticket).


Familiarity with Mtskheta , the old capital of Georgia . Visit the Svetitskhoveli Cathedral, then the Jvari monastery on the top of one of the mountains near former capital.
