Explore Mt. Fuji on a day trip from Tokyo!
Mt. Fuji is only a two hour bus ride from Tokyo. In this day trip, we will visit Mt. Fuji 5th Station, Lake Kawaguchi area, Fuji Visitor Center and/or Oshino Hakkai.
At the 5th Station, we can enjoy a magnificent and breathtaking view over the clouds. I am sure that it will be an unforgettable travel experience in Japan for you. At Lake Kawaguchi, one of the Fuji Five Lakes, we will take a cable car to Tenjyoyama Park where we can have a panoramic view of Mt. Fuji. At Fuji Visitor Center, we can watch a short video to learn the cultural and historical importance of Mt. Fuji in Japanese society as well as its geological history.
In the winter season and early spring, the road to the 5th Station is often closed due to ice and snow. If that is the case, we will go up to the highest possible point of the mountain or visit Oshino village. In the village, we can see Oshino Hakkai, eight ponds fed by gushing springs at the foot of Mt. Fuji.
On weekends traffic jams can be expected.

Sachiko accommodated the itinerary that we wanted. She was very patient with us (we traveled with 3 toddlers) and adjusted with our pace. We enjoyed our time with her.
