Golden Round Trip
Mount Pilatus is a beautiful mountain close to Lucerne. The steepest cogwheel railway in the world with am maximum average of 48 degrees winds its way up to the peak with 7000 feet (2131 m) altitude. Enjoy a breathtaking magnificent view from the top over the surrounding mountains of the Swiss Alpes, such as Eiger, Mönch and Jungfrau, Top of Europe, as well as to mount Titlis, the highest Mountain in Central Switzerland, the blue lakes, such as Lake Luzerne and the valleys. Enjoy also a typical Swiss dish on the top with Alphorn music around!
Boat trip to Alpnachstad. From the valley station ascent with the steepest cogwheel railway in the world to the top of Mount Pilatus
Descent by aerial cablecar to the middle station and then back to the valley station in Kriens
Short walk to the bus station in Kriens
Back by bus to Lucerne
Normally, we take this connection:
Meeting at 9:20 at Pier 2
9:38 boat from Lucerne to Alpnachstad, arriving 10:46
10:55 cogwheel to Pilatus Kulm, arriving 11:25
Freetime for lunch
13:00 Gondola back to Kriens
14:00 Bus back to Lucerne (15 min)
The cogwheel railways only operates from May to October, depending on snow conditions!

Duration: 5 hours
If there is a storm, cable car transportation can be stopped. In this case, the way back will be by cogwheel railway.
The whole trip will be undertaken by public means of transport: boat, cog railway, aerial cable car and bus
