Explore one of the corner-stones of the Catalan culture
Explore the Monastery of Montserrat, home to the famous Black Madonna, La Escolania, a beautiful and unique rock formation, sawed and sculpted by thousands of years of wind and rain, is the house of "La Moreneta" and the monastery of Montserrat, an important Catholic pilgrimage spot founded in the 12th-century. Aside from its religious and cultural importance, the mountain also boasts unbeatable views from its peaks and then follow me through the vineyards of just outside Sant Pau d'Ordal, on the Can Vendrell de la Codina estate, is the modernist winery designed by Josep Maria Pericas in 1925.
For art lovers, this is a must see. The wine staircase is a great work by artist Joan Raven (Vilafranca, 1963) that presides over all four floors of the main house's staircase and then enjoy the typical Catalan cuisine offered by one of the most emblematic restaurants of Sant Pau d'Ordal, Cal Xim, at a special price during the week, with a menu prepared especially for the occasion.
