We will visit the historic Spanish Colonial sites, as the 1805 year old Cathedral and Town Hall, and the pedestrian Sarandí St. , Independence Square, Salvo Palace and other important sites.
We'll visit the Pocitos neighborhood and beach, the Navy Museum (optional), Montevideo World Trade Center. We make a 2 hour stop, for lunch or shopping or walking depending on your wishes.
Depending on time we may visit other farther neighborhoods .
Landmarks as the Parliament, a magnificent classical building with Uruguayan granite and marble and the amazing Dubai style Telecommunication Tower.

If you are cruisers, after leaving the cruise, walk along a green path about 200 yards to the Port exit blue iron bar door. It's behind some trees next to the Tourism Ministry. I'll be next to this exit holding a sign with your name. If you don't find me, please give me a personal call.

Pocitos neighborhood, beach, Navy Museum (Graf Spee remains, optional), Yacht Port
Time for lunch at family local restaurant, or Steakhouse.
Montevideo World Trade Center, and Pocitos Nuevo area.
Depending on time left we may visit other sites.
Meeting Location + Tour Duration
Meeting location: l meet you at the Cruisier's Exit Door outside the Port (see photos) if you are cruisers, at your hotel lobby, at the Carrasco International Airport, at the Ferry Terminal or where you indicate at the time of your scheduled arrival.
PORT EXIT DOOR (OUTSIDE THE PORT).After you get off the ship you have to walk about two blocks to the exit Port Door.I will be standing next to the door.This is a iron bar door and it is painted blue.
MEETING TIME: Ask about Uruguay's Local Time at your cruise or Hotel
NOTE: If you don't see me holding a sign with your name please call me.
End location: I will drop you off at the same place where I met you, port or hotel
Duration: 6 hours
The itinerary is flexible according to your interests, it could not be completed due to weather, traffic , a last minute change on cruise arrival time, or a delay at the restaurant.
Tour duration on weekends or out of season as there is less traffic we may see all highlights in a shorter time.
Regarding the number of passengers, it might be a modern car, a Hyundai H1 or a Mercedes Sprinter or similar Van. Bus for groups (more than 15 passengers).
We will adapt the tour to your personal requirements in case you let me know in advance.

in a restaurant, if you would like to taste some
typical Uruguayan food.
Tourists may pay with US dollars or credit cards. Most places accept dollars.
Paying with credit cards in restaurants you will not pay the VAT Tax.
If you wish to buy unexpensive souvenirs and you wish to exchange some Uruguayan money in Uruguay there are money exchange shops in all neighborhoods.
