6 hours discovering Montevideo scenic seaside city and visiting a typical attractive Winery (see our two options)
Welcome to beautiful Montevideo!
We will share an enjoyable experience visiting and learning about wine, vineyards, wine making and tasting first class wines.
We may either visit one of the eldest and most traditional Uruguayan wineries, where visitors may taste their exquisite wines and try typical delicious empanadas or going to a charming boutique Winery, where besides the interesting guided visit and tasting, you will be taught what Tannat is and tastes. Beautiful well kept gardens and a warm and inviting place.
For the time left, I'll be showing you around the "Old City" district, Matriz Square, first built by the Spanish during the colonial times, 1804 Cathedral and Town Hall, Independence Square, the Citadel Gate, attractive icon art deco Salvo Palace, Executive Tower, Solis Theater, magnificent Greek-Latin marble amazing Parliament and the lovely scenic seaside Punta Carretas and Pocitos neighborhoods with their elegant buildings ringing the beach.
All of which will make your stay unforgettable
If you are cruisers, after leaving the cruise, walk along a green path about 200 yards to the Port exit blue iron bar door. It's behind some trees next to the Tourism Ministry. I'll be next to this exit holding a sign with your name. If you don't find me, please give me a personal call.

We were a party of four arriving by Oceania cruise ship. Michelle promptly met us at the cruise port and we headed out for our tour. We toured beautiful Montevideo where Paula showed us the highlights and gave us a history of the city. We then headed out of the city to the Bouza Winery. We had a tour of the winery which included an outstanding and elegant lunch with wine pairing. We had a wonderful day with Michelle and would highly recommend.
