There are seven prefectures on the main land Kyushu; Fukuoka, Nagasaki, Kagoshima, Miyazaki, OOita, Saga and Kumamoto. My tour takes place on all of them, however, my home ground is Kumamoto. We are very proud of two national parks here. Mt. Aso area has a renowned active volcano with its extensive pasture land and myths and traditions cultured unique to the area. One of the most popular hot spring resorts, Kurokawa onsen is there too. In the city, Kumamoto castle, one of the three greatest castles in Japan, stands bravely now though suffering from the latest earthquakes. The other national park, Amakusa holds the history of Japan's hidden Christians along with the neighboring Nagasaki and their descendants are still there. Many people go there for fresh marine food, hot springs, the beaches and dolphin watching now. Each prefecture of Kyushu Island possesses its own characteristic topography, historical events, products and culture. They differ in temperament and, of course, they speak differently in their dialects. I enjoy the diversity when guiding these areas. I cannot wait to show you around here.

Wow! We had such a wonderful trip. Reiko is very friendly and knowledgeable of the area. She is willing to answer all questions and she speaks very good English. Reiko arranged for a private van and driver to pick us up from our hotel in Kumamoto, we drove around all day and Reiko and our driver dropped us off at the airport. I think this trip would of been very hard to do on our own. Having a private car was very helpful, especially since we only had one day to see the area. I highly recommend Reiko!
