Discover a part of the islands economic history with a private guide
A half day tour where you explore and learn about the history of coal mining in Cape Breton.
We will also visit the site where in the early 1900's Guglielmo Marconi conducted some of his work with Transatlantic radio signals.
Should your group of travelers be larger than 4 persons please inquire about a customized tour for your group.
Once you are picked up at your arrivals pier we will then drive to the Glace Bay area.
We will drive along the east coastline for a bit before visiting the Miners Museum.
If you wish you can purchase a ticket to actually visit part of the underground mine with one of the local miners and interpretive guides.
The museum visit can have a duration of 1. 5 hours.
We will then explore the coastline before visiting the Marconi historic site and museum at Table head.
The Marconi visit will be approximately 1 hour. The Marconi museum closes for the season on September 4, 2017
We will also have a lunch stop if requested then ride along the east coastline back to the arrivals pier.

Guide will hold a card with your name on it.
End location: Return will be to the cruise arrivals pier
