Six centuries and six important persons that have contributed to the development of the city. During a three hour walk we will see all the important highlights of Milan: the castle built by the Sforza family, the Duomo and it's beautiful architecture and stained glass, the Galleria Vittoria Emanuele II, named after the first King of Italy, the Teatro alla Scala where the famous composer Giuseppe Verdi worked for a long period and the Quadrilatero, the heart of Milans' fashion culture where internationally renownend fashion designers have their shops and the romantic Brera area.
Already in the 13th Century Milan was one of the biggest cities in Europe and since then the city has developed itself. It has both attracted as well as delivered important persons that have contributed to the development of the city and to the history of Europe. I'll take you on a private tour in which we discover more about these persons and will see the main attractions of Milan and some hidden gems not known by many.
During this walking tour through Milan you will discover all the highlights of the city. I will explain you about the most important facts and their relation with influential people that made Milan the city it is now.
We start at the Castello Sforzesco, built by the Sforza Family that has commissioned Leonardo da Vinci in many occasions. From there we walk towards the Piazza del Duomo where we find out more about the government of this city in the last six centuries, discover the history of the square and the cathedral of Milan. In the Galleria Vittoria Emanuele II we enjoy the beauty of the 'Salone di Milano' and can have a short coffee break in a historic bar with a beautiful view over this 'shopping mall'. On Piazza della Scala I explain how important this square has been and still is for the city. From there we wind true the Quadrilatero where the most important fashion brands have their shops. After a short detour through Brera we end our tour in the heart of the centre and you can continue your day.
Meeting Point + Tour Duration
Meeting Point Options: Rail or Bus Station, Suggested by Guide: I can meet you also near the metrostation Cadorna or Castello. From there we will walk to the official starting point.
Duration: 3 hours
The lenght of this tour is around three hours. In case your prefer, I can personalize this tour by making it longer or shorter or by dedicating more or less time at some of the stops.
This is a walking tour. In case desired, we can do parts of it with public transport or taxi. This is not included in the price.

20 euro - During the tour we can have a short coffee break on a lovely and exceptional location that really adds to this experience. Price for a coffee that includes also homemade biscuits is a bit higher than usual, but you will enjoy it at a fantastic location.
If you are tired we can use public transport that cost 1,50€ for a single trip or 4,50€ for a 24h ticket.
If you like to visit the roof of the Duomo, you have to add 13,50€ for the ticket for access with the elevator.

- I can drive a car but do not own one. I can either accompany you in your vehicle or I can arrange for a car with driver.
