I've resumed guiding but only around Mie Prefecture (where my home is) and Nagoya area until April 2018 after my baby starts to attend childcare service. I apologise for the lack of flexibility and the inconvenience caused.
Hi! I'm Kumi, a tour guide and an interpreter living in Mie Prefecture, about 1 hour away from Nagoya by train.
As I had a chance to live in Singapore, a country that accepts diversity, I am rather cosmopolitan as a Japanese. . . That's why I am in this business! I love meeting people from all over the world (that's you!), and I am passionate to introduce you to my country too.
My interests are enjoying good food and jogging (to burn all the calories out after eating too much. ) Let me also add that I am a wife of a Buddhist priest despite my alma mater. I hope I can make use of my limited knowledge on Buddhism in Japan upon my guiding.
I was living in Tokyo area until April 2012 and gave tours in the city.
Please drop me a line should you need any assistance :)
I'm also happy to make and guide your very own customized tours!
A Recent Review of this guide
Kumi waited 90 minutes for our group to go through lengthy immigration process at cruise ship terminal. She was there waiting in the rain for us. As our time was curtailed she made best use of it before we had to return to ship. She was very knowledgeable and adaptable. Nothing was too much trouble. Her English is excellent. We really enjoyed the Arimatsu portion of our tour. Would highly recommend this guide.
I am a licensed tour guide since 2009 (Registration Number: EN00084 under Mie Prefecture).
