Explore the neighborhoods of Coyoacan and San Angel and follow the steps of these two emblematic mexican artists!
Why are Diego Rivera and Frida Kahlo famous all over the world today? These talented artists were an iconic and controversial couple in Mexico during the first half of the last century and their influence still has an important impact on many artists these days.
We will explore the neighborhoods of Coyoacan, San Angel and the Dolores Olmedo Museum in the south of Mexico City to follow Diego and Frida's steps.
First, we will visit the Dolores Olmedo Museum, a former beautiful colonial "Hacienda" where the largest Diego Rivera's art collection is kept.
Afterward, we will head to Coyoacan and visit Casa Azul (where Frida was born and died).
After a lunch break, we will drive to the fancy neighborhood of San Angel to visit Diego and Frida's "Casa Estudio".
This route is also the perfect excuse to try delicious churros and hot chocolate in Coyoacan or San Angel!

My wife and I had a second incredible day with Juan in Mexico City. This day focussed on Kahlo and Rivera. What an incredible day of learning and beauty. With Juan, we visited places that most tourists do not go. Of particular note was the Museo Dolores Olmedo Patiño! It was an absolute treat. We had an amazing lunch with Juan, the best Mexican food we have eaten. Juan is a master guide, really smart in many ways! Book now as he is in great demand.
