This tour is about an hour drive in Clarksdale, you will feel as though you are in a movie and part of it. You will probably feel the "vibes", as many say of the Blues and the artists that came from there. You will feel as though you are part of that scene.
We will visit the Delta Blues Museum in the old Train Depot and we can try some good restaurants and music. A full day trip is good but when you see who is playing at Ground Zero or one of the local clubs, you may want to stay and may even want to spend the night there. Motel's there are very reasonable and after enjoying a night of food, music and good times, it's nobody's fault you may want the closest bed nearby. I will not drink alcohol, I take care of you and your group. Sunrise is beautiful there. My time is flexible, but you'll get at least 12 hrs and will have a time you won't forget.
I would give serious consideration on when you want to start and stop your Tour. Many things should be seen during the day but dinning at a local club with authentic Blue's artist's, will make you want to stay and possible spend the night there. They have inexpensive clean motels. If we go over 12 hrs. and you want to stay, the cost of my room is not included in the cost of the tour. Then a real southern breakfast in the morning. You seriously want to save some energy for Clarksdale. We will have fun, just ask and we'll talk and be fair if we go over our tour time, it is no problem. The sites, restaurants, the Delta Blues' Museum, you will take in a lot. The Sunflower river that flows through town is so beautiful and picturesque. A trip I promise you will never forget.

We will be driving through the Mississippi Delta, very rural, farmland, picturesque. Dine at any restaurants or hear live authentic blue's at any of the local clubs there. If you decide that you've eaten and drank too much to come back, motel's there are clean and inexpensive and my room is not covered in the tour price so that will be up to you, but a night a Clarksdale Blue's club, listening to authentic Blue's till closing, is worth everything. A trip you will never forget.
We will be in a new 2016 Mid-Night Blue Dodge Caravan. It has plenty of room for 6 and luggage. Message me if you have a group larger than 6.
My services as your private tour guide for the full day tour.
Transportation in my Dodge Caravan is included.
Estimated Local Cash Needed
100 USD - The Delta Blue's admission is minimal, the food in Clarksdale is plentiful and very reasonable. The music is incredible. What you pay for food will largely depend on how many people will be in the tour. I say $100, but it could be more or less, but after the food, music, the blue's' museum, it could be more, it's up to you.
Any admissions or food.
If you decide to spend the night, additional fees apply and your accommodation is not included in this price.
I will guide you as well as drive you in a 2016 Dodge Caravan that seats 6 passenger's, however it is not wheelchair accessible.

John's excellent 12 hour tour was geared to our interests including visiting parts of Memphis not on the regular tourist circuit and more extensive time visiting Tupelo (Elvis Presley's birth town), Clarksdale and the Crossroads (famous in blues folklore) and the Mississippi Delta. John has lived his life in the area and provided excellent commentary and anecdotes. An excellent tour & good value given the time spent with John in his well presented vehicle.John's flexible approach suited our needs.
