Having the knowledge, being a good communicator, added with small touches of attentiveness, humor (always needed!) and enthusiasm though, would be a winning combination.
Graduated as a Mechanical Engineer, I soon found out that slogging days on end in the office is not what I want to do. Then, with my particular skills from having birdwatched since my early teens, I found a niche of guiding tourist through the jungles of Malaysia experiencing our amazingly biodiverse wildlife. Most of my clients are Europeans and Americans and the tours I provide are private and customisable so I'm well accustomed to your needs.
Though my passion will always be wildlife watching; travelling, history and politics are some of my other interests and having people from different cultures to share views and opinions are one of the best perks of being a guide, in my opinion. Shifting from guiding in the jungles to walkabouts in the city may not be a walk in the park (pun unintended) but it is certainly easier than bushwhacking!
I'm keen on sharing the local culture and history of my hometown, the city of Melaka (they say "Sharing is Caring"). Founded in the 1400s, you could say that every corner in the old town has a story. So please join me as I immerse you in its unique heritage.
