You are very warm welcome!
Meißen is a medieval gem. Majestically the castle and the cathedral are looking onto the river Eleb. Meißen is the cradle of Saxony. It is here that Saxony was founded and here is also the home of the first European porcelain manufacture.
It is my pleasure to take you there and give the glimpse of the medial city of Meißen with its ancient castle, famous cathedral and narrow streets and medial buildings. And we invite you to the workshop of Europe's first Porcelain Manufacture to see the splendour and learn about the manufacturing process.
From the top of the castle hill you can enjoy a unique view onto the city and the vineyards. Why not tasting a glas of Meißen wine?
In the continuation of the tour we go to see the castle of Moritzburg, the famous hunting lodge of the Saxon Court. Situated on an Arcadian island and housing a valuable collection of antlers and original furniture it gives a wonderful idea of the life at the Saxon court.

We had a wonderful tour of Meissen and Moritzburg with Heidi. She was very knowledgeable, spoke excellent English, and was very flexible in trying to fit the tour to meet our desires. The Meissen tour included the castle, a walk from there to the central square, and then a tour of the porcelain factory. Our Moritzburg tour was brought to life by Heidi's knowledge of the history and context of the palace. Finally, she ended with some touring of Dresden to provide an introduction to the City layout.
