Meet the Arts & Crafts of rural Bangladesh
On this trip you will experience with the multidimensional activities, starting with the the traditional seed keeping system. You will get a feel for a rural village and will experience how the people here manufacture mustard oil with traditional "Ghani"; Break rice with a husking-pedal [Dheki] with their feet; Make puffed rice [Muri] by throwing grains of rice into a pot of heated sand; Compose fertilizer, etc. Food is the main attraction in Bengali culture. Khai, Muŗi and other traditional products made from rice are very much popular among the locals and are used in a wide variety of secular and religious occasions.
Experience Jacquard weaving in this village. Kartik Bashak- the master artisan of Jacquard enjoy the patterns of design by jacquard, process of punching cards, activities of hand loom reed makers. Other attractions in this area are Buti weaving, silver smith village, cultivation of organic foods, Four hundred years old Atia Mosque and many more.
7:30 am will report at your place in Dhaka & start our trip to Tangail. En-route visit the National monument at Savar. Up on arrival at our destination in Tangail will explore the village.
Also visit four hundred years old Atia Mosque in Delduar of Tangail district the gorgeous structure decorated with intricate terracotta patterns has become faded while the ornamental plaques on the nine-feet wide walls are wearing away as during the last three decades.
