Anything from a regular sightseeing tour of Cologne to a simple "meet&greet" pick-up service or a narrated transfer.
Founded by the Romans 2000 years ago, the city was destroyed for some 90% during World War II, clearly leaving negative marks on its layout and architectural structure. Cologne's city planning thereafter was a combination of both "modern clearcutting" and careful consideration of the city's many historic building monuments. To people in Germany, Cologne is known for its magnificent Cologne Cathedral (UNESCO World Heritage Site), the media, its International Trade Fair, the notorious Carnival season, the "Kölsch" beer and Eau de Cologne. Situated on the Rhine river, the city always benefited from trade and transportation ever since Roman times.
The best way to discover Cologne's 2 000 year old history is on foot. With one square kilometer only, Cologne's historic part is really "compact".
Therefore I offer primarily walking tours of Cologne's Old Town, in combination with a guided tour of our famous Cathedral and/or one of our fantastic and interesting museums or excarvation sites.
I am not a "driver guide" - I do not even have a car nor do I have a legal commercial license to transport passengers.
During my guided tours I do not feel like "lecturing" too much, but rather take a light, entertaining and humorous approach.
Having lived and worked in the US and Canada for 11 years, and traveled abroad extensively, we will always have something to talk about.
