Rainforest, beach and wildlife

Featuring three strands of white sand beach fringed by jungle on one side and the Pacific Ocean on the other, Manuel Antonio is a must visit destination in Costa Rica. In fact this park was included in "The World's Most Beautiful National Parks" list by Forbes in 2011. Its stunning combination of ecosystems creates perfect habitats for a multidiverse range of animal species such as squirrel and white-faced monkeys, sloths, iguanas, aracari, king-fisher, amongst many others.

The jungly trails will lead us to amazing view points, fresh water ponds with cascades or to the idyllic beaches where you can sunbathe or swim.

Itinerary

Visit Manuel Antonio National Park to enjoy the very best of nature. Located 15 minutes away from Quepos, this park is one of the few places in the country where the primary forest comes down to the sea's edge. This combination of ecosystems favors the high biodiversity that can be found along the park's trails.

During our hike we might spot animals such as coatis, the two-toed and three-toed sloth, iguanas, all types of birds and the smallest of Costa Rica's monkeys, the squirrel monkey known as Titi.

The beaches in Manuel Antonio are perfect for a swim as they usually present gentle waves.

There will be time for lunch after touring the park. Manuel Antonio features a wide variety of gastronomical options, traditional costa rican cuisine and international.

A Recent Review of this tour

Simply outstanding! Jorge expertly identified and arranged activities our teenage daughter could do while recovering from knee surgery and made her Costa Rica vacation a dream come true. His knowledge of Costa Rican history, culture, plants and animals was excellent and he managed to balance being informative and fun. English was great, and taught us some Spanish as well. We spent two terrific days with Jorge around Manuel Antonio and Jaco and I couldn't recommend him more highly. Gracias por todo!
