Maipo and its famous wineries
This tour will take us to a stunning valley area southeast of Santiago in the heart of Chile's central Andes. Located at 60 minutes from city center Maipo valley is well-known among locals because of its wine and wild nature. Mountains, valleys, grape plantations, snow caps and Maipo river are some of the highlights of this region that it stands out for its geography, shape and colours
We drive up to Pirque which is sort of a main village very quite boasting typical Chilean one story houses, lovely square and remarkable location.
After driving across through a bridge to reach the other side of Maipo river to catch more gorgeous vistas.
First stop at Concha y Toro for a wine tasting and english speaking tour.
Second stop at Santa Rita winery for another wine tasting and tour
It starts between 9 and 10 from Santiago Hotel. One hour drive up to San José de Maipo with a couple of stops to take pictures and see those panoramic views.
If customers are fond of walking or trekking there is a tour to a waterfall which is awesome nearby San José.
This trekking is optional and you must pay a U$ 15 extra fee.
After touring Maipo by noon or one a stop for lunch is considered in the countryside to have a local meal.
Then I give the chance to customers to do a wine tour near the restaurant.

Tour with Juan Carlos was FUN, interesting and very easy to personalize based on what we wanted. My husband and I were in Santiago on vacations and wanted to go to the top/well-known wineries in Maipo Valley and in overall Chile, Santa Rita and Concha y Toro. He was very flexible during the planning phase and responsive. During the tour, he was very detailed, knowledgeable, and easy going. It felt like having a great time with a friend rather than the usual teacher/student type of tour. Highly recommended
