I was born in Bilbao (Basque Country) and was adopted by the city of Madrid 24 years ago. Since I was a little girl I always wanted to see the world, explore new places, eat different things, get to know people and all that led me to make a living out of my passion.
From my own personal and working experience traveling I like unique experiences at a pace. In my tours you will learn not only about Spanish History, Art or traditions but also useful insider's tips about Madrid lifestyle, from classical landmarks to new hot-spots.
In Madrid there is always something for everyone if you are willing to learn and explore. If you are a museum lover, a foodie or you are looking for a bike tour, I can offer tailored tours for you and your family.
If you are staying a little bit longer and want to see the Sephardic sites, its splendorous Cathedral or a 10th Century Mosque, we can enjoy a day out in Toledo (Unesco site).
Escorial, Segovia or Avila are also very interesting day trips to be organized from Madrid (Unesco sites).
Go for it!! Let me be your host while in Madrid!!
A Recent Review of this guide
Amalia was a terrific guide to the museums of Madrid. My son, who is at university, and I really thought she was able to convey the importance of the various sites we visited. She is very friendly and knowledgeable about the art and we very much appreciated her efforts at placing the paintings within the historical context of the times. We also enjoyed her recommendations for lunch and overall, I would recommend her highly.
