Private Walking Tour (4h) - Skip the line!
This is an ideal tour for your first visit to Spain's capital city. There is a significant reason to start our visit in the Royal Palace, for it is here where Madrid was born back in the 9th century.
We will visit the magnificent 18th Century Royal Palace, where once a Muslim Fortress stood. Nowadays, the Royal Palace is used for state ceremonies and open to visitors. We walk through its chambers and history to finish the tour to this site in the magnificent Throne Room.
After leaving the Palace we continue exploring the so-known as Habsburg's Madrid, the oldest part of our city, with the famous Plaza Mayor, old Town Hall, narrow streets and lively Madrileños.
It is a chance to get to know about the origin of Madrid and also to find out which nice restaurants and Tapas places will suit you better for your lunch or dinner once we finish the tour.

We greatly enjoyed our tour of Madrid with Amalia! She is an amazing guide - so knowledgeable about the history and culture of Spain and Madrid, and able to convey it in a very relatable way. She made sure the tour continuously met everyone's needs, from our 10-year old to his grandmother and everyone in between. Highly recommend Amalia and ToursByLocals!
