I'm well-behaved and respectful to each other regardless of political affiliations, sexuality or religious beliefs. The most valued learning that I had all these years working as guide - more than 20 years-, has been gathering people's views from all around the world. I'm still learning and studying for being a better person and professional, and that should improve job quality.
I'm reasonably outgoing and talkative. Working I'm friendly, enthusiastic and funny, but I can read the signals and accommodate to people's needs. Maybe it's important for you to know that I'm very punctual and vital but calm when it's necessary.
I'm flexible to your requests and helpful to children (I've got three kids), elderly people and in general people with special needs. Madrid is well adapted for disabled when you know some little tricks and places to avoid.
My hobbies: reading, writing (I've wrote more than 15 guide books of museums and cities), drawing, watching classical movies, art and history, practicing sports but not watching them on TV, traveling, cooking and eating.
My guide job has changed a lot in the last years: travellers are looking not just for art and history but eating and drinking like locals, and modestly, I can be very informative. I'm very enthusiastic about wine and beer. I would never describe myself as an expert, that's a big word, but as an amateur self-taught wine lover. I've taken several wine and beer tasting courses in the most renowned schools in Spain.
I hope that the above information would help you to choose me as your guide in Spain. Hope to see you soon.
I've studied Tourism in Escuelas Delicias, in Madrid.
I'm official guide of Madrid, official guide of Castilla y León, License guide of the next monuments of Patrimonio Nacional: Royal Palace of Madrid, convent of Descalzas Reales, convent of la Encarnación, monastery of El Escorial, palace of El Pardo, palace of La Granja and palace of Aranjuez.
I'm also authorised guide in the cathedral of Toledo, and in Santo Tomé church, Santa María la Blanca synagogue, San Ildefonso church and Cristo de la Luz mosque in Toledo.
I've worked 3 years as tour leader in Spain and Europe, and for about 20 years as local guide in Madrid, Segovia, Toledo, etc.
I've wrote several (about 15) audio guides and guide books for cities and museums (Santa Pola, Elche, Benicassim, parador de Santiago de Compostela, museo de Arte Sacro, museo de Tierra Santa, museo de Arte Contemporáneo de Cuenca, Toledo, temporary exhibitions for the Ministry of Culture of Spain, etc).
