Be a traveler, not a tourist!
Based on Câmara de lobos Area, we start over the litle fishing village with the same name. we go up through the rough narrow old road toward to the top of it around 1000mt high, for a great view point to the Nuns Valley. We will stop in Jardim da Serra, to be delighted with a great poncha from corrida. Going to pass through the vineyards, go and visit the huge cliffs of Fajã Dos Padres and Cabo Girão, being this the 2nd higest cliff in the world and the highest in Europe.
Then we have to options to go and have lunch; We can go to a very good local restaurante and eat espetada. . or go to the butcher where we choose our own meat for the espetada and eat some great home made food. (not available Tuesday)
Passing the day as a local when touring on the island, and avoiding the touristic boring spots. . going to the real traditional places - my favorite quality spots!
Starting over the bay of Câmara d eLobos. . we go up up up in the narrow ruff road into he mountain of Jardim da serra, them go down to quinta grande and campanário for an espetada lunch «)

Nico was a great guide and we really enjoyed our day with him. His jeep is a such a cool/unique way to see the island! He was very knowledgeable and we learned a lot about the local plants and landscape. We saw a lot of Madeira that you would never see with typical tours and he really gave us a taste of the local culture. We would highly recommend this tour!
