Private Tour for Cruise Ship Passengers
We first drive to Cabo Girão, lofty sea cliff, to enjoy its great views. Then we go to the west and visit São Vicente caves.
Continuing to the west, we pass few waterfalls along the NW coast and reach Porto Moniz with its natural volcanic pools.
Later on, we drive to a Levada, to enjoy a lovely walk inside the Laurissilva forest.
After the walk we go for a local restaurant to have a traditional Madeiran lunch.
On the way back, we stop to try poncha, a traditional Madeiran drink. If we still have time, we take the cable car to Monte and try Monte sledges, a wicker basket car - a great idea to finish this remarkable trip!

This was our first time in Madeira and we really wanted to Explore, and Carlos really was exceptional in spending the day with us. We saw all of the main tourist attractions, plus much more than we expected. Carlos took us all over the Island, told us of its history and to top it off took us to a Restaurant for lunch that served a local fish that was out of this world delicious.. When we returned to our ship and compared tours with other guests, we undoubtedly saw more, had more fun.
