Why did Lyon receive the title of "Capital of Resistance" ?
In this tour you will dive back in the 40s, during the WW2.
Thank to images, maps, summary you will go on the tracks of Jean Moulin, Raymond, Lucie Aubrac and other resistants.
You will see the places they used to go to, the secret "traboules" (alleyways through the buildings)that they used as discreet ways and other which have a link with the dark side of the French History.
This tour takes place in Croix-Rousse district and in the peninsula.
If possible (depending on the days and the availibility of the place) we can also go to the place where Jean Moulin was arrested.
RESTRICTIONS : This tour doesn't include ths visit of the museum but it a realistic complement of it.
- Croix-Rousse square, Croix-Rousse streets and traboules.
- Streets around the City Hall, Opera
- Jean Moulin Memorial (if possible)
- Bellecour square with hotels and War Memorial
Meeting Location + Tour Duration
Meeting location: We can meet in Croix-Rousse square or I can pick you up in your hotel if you prefer.
End location: Bellecour Square or Carnot square (depending on how quick we are going)
Duration: 3 hours
We can discover the Croix-Rousse hills walking.
Not to waste too much time, we'll use the metro to go to Bellecour square and also the bus to go to the Jean Moulin Memorial.
