I work today as a professional licensed tour guide. I am 38 years old.
Lyon has always been a part of my life: this is where I studied 4 years History of Art and Tourism. This is where I found my vocation. I passed my professional tour guide license in Lyon in 2007. Today working as a tour guide is my activity.
I love the city of Lyon because it is international. The museums of Lyon, its rich history and heritage, but also the city itself with its treasure hidden under our feet, have inspired me humility and respect. The more I got acquainted with these places, the more I thought it would be the privileged theme of my studies.
I have the pleasure to receive, to share, to welcome. The happiness of people I meet during my guided tours gives me satisfaction in my work. I am personally convinced that this job works both ways : by guiding the others, I learn from others. And so my horizon widens as the visitors learn about the way of life here. As they leave Lyon, they have good memories from our meeting and they let me with a light heart.
In our new world, where all the people are very high connected, very high informed and without any border, humans need more human relationships. A mobile will never replace either the magic of a meeting or the pleasure to share. That is also why I love traveling.
I feel concerned by the protection of the environment and I try to take care of it. I would dream that all my tours would be eco-friendly. For example, I encourage the organic producers and I favour the organic shops in my tours. I encourage a world without plastic and without waste.
And I hope you too will feel this wonder, if you visit the region with me.

We had the most spectacular day with Emilie on our food tour of Lyon Emilie is just delightful , the day was well paced with plenty of stops We found out so much about the history of the food culture and our lunch stop was just perfect,a local mid range restaurant that has preserved the traditions of Lyonaisse cuisine We explored the old town , 2 markets and the up market area with Michelin Star restaurants and finished at a very fine chocolatier. I highly recommend this tour with Emilie!
