I spent most of my life in this delightful town where I live with my wife and my two kids.
Since 1998 I've been working as a Licensed Tour Guide for Lucca and its stunning countryside.
After my studies I travelled all over the world, fascinated by artworks, costumes and different cultures.
I worked for 3 years at APT Lucca as the location manager for the Lucca Film Commission and with responsibilities for public relations with the media and press.
Lucca is beautifully preserved and totally undamaged by the ravages of World War II, it will be a pleasure for me to lead you through its remarkable past as well as its charming present.
Leave the stress of the modern world outside the Walls of Lucca, because this little corner of Tuscany will surprise and delight you with the elegance of its architecture and our way of life.
As you can understand I love my city! As a "local" I'm very proud to welcome you here to share my passion.
As my daughter once told me: "Dad, you have the most beautiful open-air office of the world!" - Yes my darling, you are tremendously right.
See you in Lucca!
A Recent Review of this guide
Carlo is fantastic. What a great afternoon we spent with him. He is incredibly knowledgeable of Lucca as a long time resident, and a human encyclopedia of history and knowledge. His appreciation of art and his love of his city infuse the entire tour. Carlo begins by asking what you want to see and tailors the visit to meet your expectations. We are regular TBL customers and Carlo is one of the best we've ever had. He will make you love Lucca and you'll leave feeling a little jealous you can't stay!
