Connect London to the rest of the World!
See influences from the Americas, Canada, Europe, Asia, Africa and Australasia . . . you choose!
As well as showcasing these influences, the tour includes Traditional London sights.
Be amazed at just how much American influence there is in London and discover hidden gems that time has forgot. The tour focuses on two broad areas:
East and The City
The River Thames surrounding area in the east of the city. This features the beginnings of the 13 colonies from 1606: On the south side, we will visit the iconic Mayflower and travel around London's Blackwall, Rotherhithe and the pretty Shad Thames development. On the north side of the river, we will explore trendy Wapping and the City.
St. James and Mayfair in the west highlight the beginnings of the nation of the United States from the 1770s. We will visit the former home of one of the Founding Fathers, Benjamin Franklin. I will show you where the ratification of the Treaty of Paris was signed, and so much more.
We will meet at your hotel, or any other arranged location in London.
During the tour we will visit:
- 'Virginia Quay' in Blackwall
- 'The Mayflower' in Rotherhithe
- Tower Hill where William Penn was baptised
- Southwark, home to 'The Golden Hinde'
- The City, home to numerous sites
- West End, home to numerous sites
It will include all the relevant cultural heritage sites and any traditional sites in those areas. There will be regular opportunities to stop, walk around, discuss and photograph. A detailed commentary will be provided. The tour can be customized to include more or less sites to suit your preference, and can include some interesting refreshment stops. I can recommend great places for this.
At the end, we will return back to your hotel, or another agreed upon location.
