Centuries-old pubs bare stories of great characters, artists and revolutionaries, 2000-year-old Roman ruins jut out of the ground, yet London is no museum piece. Quirky glass and steel architecture is popping up all over the city, it's foodie heaven, and as a writer, I take a huge amount of inspiration from what poet William Blake felt was a breathing, living legend as old as time.
I've been a guide for over ten years and am also an author. Part of my fascination with London is the number of wonderful artists who have taken inspiration from the city over the years, from Blake to Dickens to Bram Stoker to Shakespeare.
I empathize with travelers because I'm a keen traveler myself and always hire a guide in a foreign place to discover its secrets, learn its history, and hopefully be entertained! In turn, I pride myself on revealing the real London, avoiding the crowded tourist traps and offering a way to get to know the capital's famous districts more intimately.
I'm a fun and friendly guide, if I may say so myself. I especially like to show people around who've never been to London before, to be able to see the city anew through their eyes.
I look forward to meeting you and showing you around!
A Recent Review of this guide
Jason was a great and engaged guide and very keen on showing us the villages of Hampstead and Highgate, where he lives. It was like walking through time with a friend, full of interesting stories and references to the artists and writers who have lived and worked there. We also appreciated that he accommodated our request to work in a brief visit to Camden Market, which our two teenage girls were interested to see. The pub lunch in Highgate was very good and a nice break during our walks.

I'm not a driver guide but can arrange transportation on request.
I'm an outdoor walking tour guide and don't specialize in going inside places of interest such as Westminster Abbey.
