So many people call London home but like many of them, I was not actually born here. London always called to me growing up in East Anglia and at the turn of the millennium, I finally made the move, one which I have never regretted.
Working initially running a chain of bars in Soho, the history of the city and the vibrant mix of people (both residents and tourists) and cultures have held my fascination for nearly 20 years now. I moved on from working in bars to become a chef in some of London's finest hotels, all the while reading up and exploring all London had to offer.
With the arrival of my young family, I wanted more flexibility in my work and took on one of my greatest challenges yet in studying 'The Knowledge' to become a Licensed London Taxi Driver. Learning so much to pass these exams whetted my appetite for more and I was soon studying again to become a Green Badge London Taxi Guide with The Worshipful Company of Hackney Carriage Drivers.
People that have taken a tour with me comment on my enthusiasm, which I take as a great compliment, but I also admit that it is not hard as there is so much to love about London. I like to think that living and working in different areas in London for the last 17 years gives me an insight different from many other tour guides. It gives me great pleasure to be able to share my unique experiences with people visiting this great city and I also love to hear some of the stories my customers share with me. You never stop learning.
Most recently I have taken myself back to the classroom to improve my amateur Photography. Whilst not professing to be David Bailey, we can always take the opportunity to capture some great snapshots of your trip to London.
Why not join me for a drive around London?

Alex provided an unbelievable experience for our travels in London. We spent two days with Alex visiting incredible venues, i.e. Winston Churchill's underground, Windsor Church & the surrounding community, Buckingham Palace, Westminster, St, Paul's and more. What made our two days so enjoyable was Alex's knowledge of the Commonwealth, the city of London and its wonderful history. We highly recommend spending a day with Alex , , , you will not regret the experience and you will see the best of London!

I am not a Blue Badge Guide so although I can accompany you inside the Tower of London, St. Paul's Cathedral and Westminster Abbey I cannot guide inside these historical monuments.
Whilst my Taxi is limited to 6, please enquire for larger groups.
