A day tour exploring writers in their landscape
The Cotswold Hills (Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty) has inspired many great writers over the centuries, who have found inspiration in its wooded wolds, hidden combes and breath-taking views. On this day tour I will guide you to a selection of literary pilgrim sites - places made special by their association with an author, their work, their walks and their lives. Authors that can include: JK Rowling; Laurie Lee; Edward Thomas; Robert Frost; the Mitford Sisters; Lewis Carroll; the Bloomsbury Group; Ivor Gurney; Dennis Potter; Beatrix Potter; UA Fanthorpe; Moyra Caldecott; George Orwell; WH Davies, Patrick Leigh Fermour, and others . . .
This is up to you but can include a selection of the following:
Meeting Location + Tour Duration
Meeting location: I can pick you up from a hotel in the Cotswolds, a train station (Swindon, Cheltenham, Gloucester, Bath), or from a coach-stop.
End location: Your hotel, train station or place of your choice.
