St.Mamas Monastery & Soli Ruins & Limnitis
Today we'll explore west of the island starting by St. Mamas Monastery in Guzelyurt. The church and the Monastery is in the Archeology and Natural History Museum.
Kingdom of Soli was found by Athenians returning from Trojan Wars in 13BC. After you hear the history and see the mosaics we drive to the west coast of Limnitis. If you like history and see a lots of citrus trees and pick strawberries do not miss this excursion.
Today we'll explore west of the island. Our first stop will be at St. Mamas Monastery in Guzelyurt. The church and the Monastery is in the Archeology and Natural History Museum. The Museum has rich historical past of Cyprus, flora and fauna. Our next stop will be at orange gardens where you can pick up oranges from the trees which you can either peel and eat or drink the juice(depending on the season). We'll stop at Ruins of Soli. It is believed that the city was found by Athenians returning from Trojan Wars in 13 BC. We shall drive by the coast line to Limnitis. A small Cypriot village which is located under the slopes of Troodos Mountains. The lunch will be traditional Cypriot dish taken in one of the villagers house/garden. It is a typical stoned old village house which has been restorated by the owner who is a batique painter. The house is Mediteranean and Provence style. We will have a panoramic view of the village and return back.

End location: Same locations as the pick up can be arranged for drop off.
