this is not just another culinary tour of the city, ours is the ultimate tour for foodies and food-curious enthusiasts. We have packed for you all the bestseller meals the locals love in a 5 hours experience. we will take you to 3 restaurants where you won't see tourists: a Cevicheria, a Polleria and a Chifa, and only locals seating around. On the midtime, we will learn about history, more food, culture, and local reality.

Itinerary

We will try bites of the ceviche, Pollo a la Brasa and Arroz Chaufa! don't plan to book any reservations for lunch that day, we will have plenty of food on our tour! and yes, taking a doggy bags is perfectly ok!

Tour starts between 11 am and 1 pm

We will visit the districts of Lima downtown, Chorrillos and Magdalena visiting 3 local restaurants: a cevicheria, a chifa, and a Polleria, visiting at the same time markets, low, middle and high-class neighborhoods.

In additions to our food tasting we will have local drinks such as Chicha Morada, Inka Kola and local beer matching our meals in the way locals do it.

Independent tour guides can't get inside the dock zone at Callao's port, the meeting point with cruise travelers is at the main gate of the port, shuttle buses take travelers to that zone.

Lima Bites is a great tour and Vanessa is a great guide. Her English is great. She is very personable. You will eat in some great places. We visited a cervicheria overlooking the Pacific, a Chifa in Chinatown and a polleria. The tour was supposed to last 4 hours but she took six hours so that we could enjoy the different dishes. If I am in Lima again, I will definitely book a tour with Vanessa.
