An Actor's account of America's bloodiest and smartest Revolutions
An ugly battle for independence has been turned into a beautiful national park. Drive and hike through the farmlands that witnessed the first shots of the American Revolution. This same land gave birth to transcendentalism--America's intellectual movement suggesting God is best found in the quiet of nature and books.
In addition to peaceful natural farmland views, see unmarked British graves, a nearly untouched 18th century road, and the path of the Midnight Ride of Paul Revere. Enter the Hartwell Tavern to experience an authentic 1700s pub (minus the beer). Admire The Old North Bridge, where the first American bullets rained onto British regular troops
Along the way, stop at the houses of literary giants Ralph Waldo Emerson, Nathaniel Hawthorne, Louisa May Alcott (Little Women), and the reclusive cabin Henry David Thoreau. Walk around, or take a swim in Walden Pond, see where the Concord Grape was first bred, and enjoy a variety of stories that will personalize the history to help create lasting memories

Meeting Location + Tour Duration
Meeting location: I will meet you wherever you'd like for this tour! Since we have to drive, I am happy to pick you up wherever you'd like
End location: I can similarly drop you back off wherever you'd like me to. Happy to return to your hotel, the dock for the cruise ships, or drop you off at dinner!
Duration: 5 hours
Traffic along Route 2 can add time to the drive. If there is no traffic, we can finish our tour in as little as 3 and a half hours, if needed, or we can also get into more detail if we extend our time. All tours starting between 8-10am or ending between 4-7pm should be prepared for at least 45 minutes in the car each way.
We will drive to Lexington and Concord in my 2014 Ford C-Max. The middle in the back is a little tight, but we'll get out to walk often. The car is air-conditioned and clean.
For 4 or more visitors, it is possible to arrange for a larger car for between $70-$150 for the day, depending on notice and availability.
- My time and service as your private guide
- Transportation in my 2014 Ford C-Max to Minute Man National Park

Estimated Local Cash Needed
5 US Dollar - A little extra cash can never hurt, especially with all the crafts stores in Concord and Lexington. You may also find that you want to visit museums I wouldn't normally include on the tour, including the incredible Sculpture Garden at the De Cordova museum in Lincoln, MA (right down the road from Walden Pond). As with all of my tours, add-ons and options are available for customization

Daniel was exceptional, extremely knowledgable, and willing to accommodate as much as possible. He was most gracious in taking me around Mount Auburn cemetery to locate many historical graves while also providing great commentary and anecdote to the sites that we visited. Highly recommend!
