Walking beside the River Aire for 6 people.
Leeds Waterfront is developing and the whole area has been improved from the time when there were just large warehouses here and a port for the boats moving goods via the waterways. The walk will take us on the footpath, where we can view the ornate bridges, full of history, on our way to the Royal Armouries (recently moved from the Tower of London). We then take in the history of the Tetley brewery legacy and if weather permits we can take a boat down river to the East, finishing at Granary Wharf.
I will meet you and your party at your hotel in the centre of Leeds or an agreed location, for example bus station or rail station.
We will walk at the side of the river, travelling East, to the Royal Armouries, then back to the centre of Leeds, either via Leeds Bridge or the shuttle boat if it is running (bad weather affects the height of the river and the boat can not operate).
I will point out buildings and sights of interest, including bridges and buildings whilst telling you of the history of Leeds.
