One day adventure special
This tour will see us visit one of the largest man made lakes in the world - lake kariba. It is only about 2 hours and 30 minutes drive from lusaka, and we will visit the lake and the surrounding areas. We will go on a boat cruise, go fishing, visit a secluded island, relax on the beach, visit the local town and markets, visit an iron age archaeological site, visit the dam wall. All in one action packed day. Overnight and weekend trips are available at extra cost, as are activities like canoeing.
We start our day at 07:00am. We leave lusaka and head south to siavonga town, on the banks of lake kariba. On the way, we pass through the archaeological site. Once at at the lake, we start by visiting the dam wall, and take awesome photos of the lake, wall and river gorge. We then head to the local town and markets, after which we go to the beach for brunch. After relaxing here, we go on a boat cruise and find a good fishing spot, and also tour a secluded island on the lake. We head back to the shore, and have snacks and drinks at a lovely hillside lodge as we see the sun setting over the lake. We then head back to lusaka.
