Mexico's largest and most beautiful lake
Lake Chapala Area is known for its lush vegetation and perfect climate all year round. Lovely towns, charming galleries and shops and great restaurants. The main attraction of Chapala is without a doubt its lake and to enjoy it we recommend that you take a walk along its boardwalk. Among handicraft shops, music and restaurants, the place will give you beautiful views. Ajijic is very famous for its art galleries and handicraft shops, as well as its various plazas and rich restaurants with wide gastronomic offer. Even cultural and gastronomic events are held all year round. Enjoy walking between its typical cobbled streets or just an excellent coffee sitting in a bench of the Central Plaza.
Pick up at 9:30 a. m. at your hotel in the Guadalajara Metropolitan area or in the Lake Chapala area.
We will first stop in the city of Chapala to enjoy a pleasant walk on the boardwalk,
as we talk about the interesting stories and see the main attractions of the city.
Our drive continues now to the lovely town of AJijic, home to thousands expats -most of them Canadian and US- and artists as writers, painters and musicians.
This village with cobblestone streets and colorful facades is full of shops and art galleries.
Our last visit in Ajijic is the Lake Chapala Society, where we will be able to see what the xpats
are doing for the community and meet some of them that will eagerly tell you what it's like to
live in Paradise, as they call living in the Chapala Lakeside. Before we return to Guadalajara,
you will have free time for lunch in one of the many great restaurants in the area.
