An alpine discovery with a local private guide
Bled is a trademark of slovenian tourism and one of the most picturesque sites of the country. Its views are amazing, its energy is romantic.
The setting is just uncredible - a small clear-blue lake, an island with a small church (pilgrimage site) in the middle, a medieval castle on a cliff just at the lake and the Julian Alps behind it. From the lake, weather permitting, you can admire the highest slovenian mountain, Mt Triglav in all its beauty.
Bled is for nature lovers, for hikers and for those, who like to enjoy beautiful views and taste local specialities like a famous 'kremšnita' cake.
We will enjoy Bled together, have lots of fun and learn a lot.
A small town of Radovljica has a beautiful medieval old town and nice views, it's famous for beekeeping and local handycrafs.
It will take us about 45 min to get to Bled. We will visit the small island of St. Mary by typical 'Pletna' boat, ring the famous 'bell of wishes' on the island, drive around the lake, take lots of 'postcard pictures', visit the castle on the cliff, with its 'million-dollar view', small, interesting museum and some workshops (like a printing house as from the time of Gutenberg), enjoy a walk along the lake, learn about numerous local fairytales and maybe taste some of the local goodies, like a famous 'kremšnita' cake. After Bled we will drive to a neighbouring lovely town of Radovljica, where we will admire nice views and a well preserved medieval old town. We will learn about beekeeping and local handycrafts. Return to hotel.
