I'm so passionate about showing you this beautiful city!
Since I have lived in the center of Kyoto for long time, I know the city very well and have confidence in meeting your requests.
I would love to take you to the places that travel guidebooks usually don't tell much, such as nice alleyways, peaceful gardens, popular local restaurants etc. .
So please let me know your interests! I can guide whole Kyoto and a bit of Nara, Osaka and Kobe.
My guide policies are
1, Showing you both "Great Kyoto" and "Off-the-beaten Kyoto".
2, From a local standpoint, sharing topics about Kyoto and Japan in a fun way.
We can talk about the history, religion and culture but I don't want my tour to be a school lecture.
I love humors and jokes and hope you are too!
3, Above all, making everyone happy is my "Goal".
I hope in the end of the day, you would feel you want to come back again.
By developing mutual understanding, if I could make this world a bit more peaceful, I couldn't be happier. I'm looking forward to seeing you!
I work as a full-time private guide and use my 100% energy for each small group.
Luckily I receive many emails from people but sometimes after work, I get too tired to reply quickly. .
If you are in hurry, other tour guides may work faster and they are very nice as well.
I appreciate your understanding!

We had a perfect day with Kenzo in Kyoto!! He met us at our hotel in the morning. We visited Inari shrine, explored the Kyoto station (which is fascinating!), tasted interesting things in the market, had a wonderful sushi lunch and visited the golden temple. He is so informative and taught us so much about Kyoto, Japanese food and culture—and kept even our teenagers engaged. We would highly recommend a day with Kenzo!!
I have a national certificate of an English speaking guide, registered in Kyoto Prefecture. My cert.No. is EN00278.
