Besides you will see more sites and experience the culture of Kyoto in this full-day tour. Arashiyama, Ryoanji rock garden, Silver Pavilion, the Nishiki market and Inari jinja shrine are some of the options. As your private guide I will arrange the tour itinerary to meet your needs. I'll pick you up at the lobby of your hotel in Kyoto or the central entrance of JR Kyoto station or on the Shinkansen platform.
We will visit the most popular landmarks in Kyoto such as
Nijo Castle: 400-year old castle constructed by a Shogun
Ryoanji Temple: known for its rock garden
Kinkakuji Temple: known as Golden Pavilion
Kiyomizudera Temple: The panoramic view from the stage of the main hall is spectacular
Gion:entertainment quarters where Maiko & Geiko live and work
Inari Taisha shrine : popular for its red gates
Arashiyama area : bamboo forest, a lovely river and mountains
You can choose some of those sites above or I can suggest our itinerary or if you have some specific places to visit, I can include them.
Meeting Location + Tour Duration
Meeting location: I'll pick you up at the lobby of your hotel or the main entrance of the JR Kyoto station.
End location: I'll guide you to your hotel or wherever you'd like to go.

If you would like to use public transport, extra costs will be much lower.
Since I do not have a commercial driver's license, I cannot drive during tours.

Chizuko was an excellent tour guide. She grew up in Kyoto so she knew the area very well. She helped us learn how to get around the city, and was a wealth of information about everywhere we stopped. Within the tourist spots she provided a great history of the Shogun reign. I highly recommend.
