Kyoto is mostly flat and a great city to get around by bike. We'll see zen gardens, local temples, picturesque back streets, eat Japanese sweets and cycle along the beautiful Kamo River. This is your chance to see a side of Kyoto that is often missed by visitors. It is always an option for you to alter or extend the itineraries to incorporate the place you wish to go.
I, myself, may suggest modifications to take seasonal factors into consideration such as cherry blossoms/autumn colours/festivals

A Recent Review of this tour

We had a great time on the bike tour of Northern Kyoto with Takaaki. He led us on a journey to many interesting and less traveled sites, explaining their significance along the way. We also learned about religion and culture in Japan. Takaaki treated us to snacks as well as sweets at the thousand year old sweet shop. We had ample time to explore Kinkakuji. Above all, Takaaki has a great attitude, and it was a joy to spend a few hours with him. This tour was a highlight of our time in Japan.
