Private Heritage Walking Tour
Follow the heritage trail of a muddy estuary in the early 19th century in search of tin, the setting of a trading outpost at the confluence of two rivers - Gombak and Klang, the wild frontier post that withstood the territorial civil wars, and the early growth of Kuala Lumpur into a modern metropolitan city.
Witness the architectural heritage of the Merdeka Square and Old Market Square, a display of Moorish or Moghul style mosque. Be amazed by the stories each heritage building has to tell along the trail in revealing the growth of a swampy confluence past into a 'garden city' of extreme contrast between the old and the new, a living legacy, still functioning to this day.
Walk through the five-foot way, meant to give shed to pedestrian from the sun and the rain, sunk below the street level, revealing the age of the shop-houses. Get to know the 'people of the past' responsible for the survival and growth of Kuala Lumpur. An experience you will cherished for a long time to come.

Thoroughly enjoyed this tour. Steven guided us to multiple sites, sharing historical details along the way, at a relaxed walking pace. He is very knowledgeable and well prepared, thoughtfully providing us a guide sheet of the sites we would visit and plenty of cool water. We learned a great deal about the founding of KL, how it developed both pre and post colonial times, and its people. As a bonus, we learned how to use public transit and Steven even took photos of us and sent copies after the tour.
