My name is Alicja and I've been guiding tourists for years. I have an official license of a guide and a tour leader granted by the local authorities. I often work with small groups of people having Polish roots so I have a huge experience in genealogy tours and genealogy research.
I'm fascinated with the history of former, multicultural Galicia and its inhabitants - Christians, Jews, Lemkos and Germans. I specialise in the Jewish heritage tours - I cooperate with Galicia Jewish Museum and Taube Foundation - and wooden architecture tours.
I can help you to organise your day trips to Zakopane, Wieliczka, Auschwitz etc. as well as customised tours to other places of interest.
I'm a foodie too so I know the best places to eat out in the area :-)
I'd love to show you around my magic city of Krakow!
A Recent Review of this guide
Alicja was one of the finest guides we have ever used. She was knowledgeable about all of the sites we visited, but she didn't take us to places in which we had no interest. Instead we frequently stopped and she listened to our interests and tailored the tour accordingly. Bright, gracious, informative and a good listener....what more could u ask of a guide.
I have a license of a tour guide of Krakow and I'm also a museum guide in the Schindler's Factory and Underground Museum of the Main Market Square. I also took a special course in the Jewish history of the region at the Galicia Jewish Museum.
I do not have a license to give tours inside of Wieliczka Salt Mine nor inside of Auschwitz-Birkenau Memorial and Museum (they have their own local guides).
