Krakow's Jewish Quarter and Ghetto, Oskar Schindler Factory with a local guide
Krakow's Jewish Quarter Kazimierz is the best preserved Jewish town in Europe. In WWII it was left untouched and today this place is a great background to present florishing life of the largest Jewish Diaspora in the World living in pre-war Poland.
In early 1990's Kazimierz was filmed by Steven Spielberg in his Oscar winning "The Schindler's List". Very recently the exhibition "Krakow Under Occupation 1939-1945" was established in original building of Oskar Schindler Factory and in close vicinity of Krakow's Ghetto - Podgórze.
This tour will provide you with most important facts on Jewish history in Poland - from medieval times to tragic times of Holocaust and WWII.
We will start in Krakow's Jewish Quarter, visiting an operating Remuh Synagogue and Cemetery, walk along Szeroka Street with Popper and Old Synagogues, Jozefa Street with High Synagogue and talmudic schools, Jewish Market with local sloughter house for cosher meet production, Izaak Synagogue with Chabad Lubavitch center, Tempel Synagogue and complex of Jewish Community Center.
We will also see the most recognizable sights from "The Schindler's List". Crossing the River Vistula we will later walk to previous Krakow's Ghetto in Podgorze section and finish with guided tour in Oskar Schindler Factory.

Barbara was very knowledgeable and pleasant. She knew Krakow very well and it was a real asset to have her with us at Schindler's factory. I would recommend her highly.
