To see the wonderland full of historical and religious mystery
I will take you on a 5 hour walking tour of sacred and mysterious Koyasan away from the bustling city of Osaka, core of Japanese spirt based on tradition, religion, nature and history.
Walking with a long experience guide who has been attracted and specialized in Koyasan will help orient you and show you some of the unique places, sites and stories.

About 2 hours' train and funicular ride with enjoying the beautiful country view takes you the mecca and the religious precincts of Koyasan Shingon Buddhism in the mountain away from the bustling city.
1. Kongobuji, the head temple of Koyasan Shingon Buddhism which has a marvelous rock garden, beautiful Japanese sliding door paintings and traditional building.
2. Vegetarian Lunch
Including local specialty of Goma Tofu (Sesame Jelly) and freeze dried tofu, enjoy special vegetarian cuisine.
3. Okunoin, the largest cemetery and the approach towards Kobo Daishi's mausoleum. It is about 3 to 3. 5 km walk in total but mostly on the ground.
4. Garan, the core temple complex with symbolic great pagoda and many other temple buildings and shrines.
You can see the great combination of Buddhism and Shinto, the harmony between human and nature.
After spending about 4-5 hours in Koyasan, we'll be back to Namba.
Meeting Location + Tour Duration
Meeting location: I will meet you at the Lobby of Swissôtel Nankai Osaka at 8:30 on weekdays.
It takes about 2 hours from Namba to Koyasan.
End location: I can end the tour at Namba Station on Nankai Line just by Swissôtel Nankai Osaka around 18:00.
Duration: 9 hours 30 min.
The tour in Koyasan is about 4-5 hours but it takes 2 hours to get to Koyasan by trains, funicular (5 minutes) and bus (15 minutes).

Kaori is very knowledgeable on Koyasan. My group will not be able to know so much about Koyasan if we would have gone on our own. The vegetarian meal arranged for us was really out of our expectation. It was very nice. We had a very good visit to Koyasan with Kaori.
