Kid Friendly: Yes. We must follow Hawaii child seat laws which require children 4 and under in a booster or 5 point. Children under 4'9" and who weigh under 40 pounds must also be in a booster. I have both types of seats available just let me know before the tour date which seats you need.

I have often had people with canes and walkers do just fine on this tour. A Handicap placard helps get easy parking spaces. This tour is extremely difficult for wheelchairs and they can not get to every stop.

Private customizable Kona tour with coffee farm and guaranteed turtles


This Kona Coast Tour is ideal for people who want to see the Kona Coast, experience a Kona Coffee farm, and cacao farm and see the local celebrities--Honu's (sea turtles) in a 4-5 hour tour.

Highlights include: Kealakekua bay Captain Cook Monument
Kona Coastline from above at 1000 f above sea level and below on Ali'i drive on the shoreline. The Painted Church is a show stopper as well.

Greenwell Farms the best Coffee tour on the island, a nice place to buy some fruit and snacks as well.

Optional stop is a walk through a lava tube.

We then visit the Home of the Turtles, guaranteed to see turtles!

Ideal Tour for people who want time to shop or spend half a day at the beach. For people wanting the beach, I can drop you off at the best beach or in town on our way back to the pier.

Itinerary

Private customizable Kona Tour, with some real insider local stops and connections.

Possible stops for this tour not in order:
* We then tour the Painted Church, the active St. Benedict Catholic Church a Catholic Cathedral in the Hawaii Jungle.
* Kealakekua Bay the bay where Captain Cook fell on Feb 14th 1779.
* A stop turtles hang out.
* Kona Coffee Farm
* Walk through a lava tube
* Cacao Farm (the only one in the United States that produces chocolate (closed Sat, Sun, Mon)
* Big Island Bees (closed Sun)
* Ola Brewery (they have food, a brewery tour with tasting for $10/person, need to book ahead)
* Secret locals stop for affordable coffee and mac nuts (closed Sun)

Last stop the home of the turtles, our local celebrities.

An ideal Tour in the 4-5 Hour range for groups who want a shorter tour.

Meeting Point + Tour Duration

Meeting Point Options: Cruise Ship Port, Hotel, Address or Intersection, Suggested by Guide: I only pick up at the Kona pier, Target in Kona or any address north of Target. I do not pick up anywhere in Kailua-Kona south of Target unless it is the pier. This tour starts in Kona only, not Waikoloa or Kamuela.

Duration: 5 hours

This is a 4-5 hour tour. If you are heat sensitive I suggest starting earlier. If you are a cruise ship in Kona 8, 8:30 or 9:00 AM is usually a good start time.
