Discover the Minoans: Myth and Reality

This is a wonderful half-day tour for archaeology fans!
Let's discover together the dawn of European Civilization and explore the world of the Minoans, here in their homeland, Crete. The rise of the Minoans dates back in the 3rd millennium and within 2000 years time-span they offered to humanity incredible pieces of art. We will see all that in the Minoan Collection of the Heraklion Archaeological Museum.
The mighty kingdom of the Minoans was controlled through the impressive 'palaces', the largest and most luxurious of all being Knossos! During this tour, we will explore all the secrets of Knossos Palace, the real Labyrinth, and shall talk of the mysteries lying behind King Minos, Minotaur and Ariadne's thread!
We shall finish our history quest in a most delightful way, returning to the present through the aromas and tastes of traditional Greek 'bougatsa', the beloved pastry, that we will enjoy in Heraklion city center, at Lions' square, just like locals!
* The tour is also suitable for cruise passengers.

-We will start the tour at Knossos Palace, 5 km to the south of Heraklion city center.
