Rich architecture, precious jewels of art and outstanding wines
Discover the Klosterneuburg Monastery, situated in Lower Austria, just out of the city of Vienna! For more than 900 years Augustinian friars lived, prayed and worked here, making Klosterneuburg the cultural and ecclesiastical centre of the region. During our tour I will show you the highlights of the Monastery - such as the medieval cloister with its amazing altar of Verdun, the monastic treasury with the 400 year old archducal hat and the imposing church. Over the centuries the friars elaborated a remarkable art in the making of wines- which we will experience after the tour at a wine tasting in the monastery's own winery!
