Shinkansen, local train, cable car, and monorail takes you to the top of the world!
This tour is very exciting because you can command a great view of one-million city Kitakyushu from the top of Mt. Sarakura(622m) and visit Kokura castle using several different vehicles, that is, Shinkansen Bullet train, local train, cable car, and monorail.
If you are interested in trains and history, this tour is perfect for you. But if you are afraid of heights, skip this tour and book another tour of mine!
Mt. Sarakura is rarely included in major group tours run by big travel companies, but this is the place local guides would love to take tourists to. So I included Mt. Sarakura for ToursByLocals' members. Going up to the top of Mt. Sarakura by cable car gives you goose bumps!

Our group of 6 all enjoyed Asako's company. We felt as if we were visiting a sister from a far away land only eager to bring us to the best places Fukuoka had to offer. Our tour with her was immensely informative. And she brought us to this sishi restaurant which all of us enjoyed. she had been most generous with her time even before we got to meet...giving us advices as to what tours to take, where it be most convenient for us to stay. She even bought our group a Fukuoka delicacy at the end of our tour.
